Celebrating Voices That Inspire Change

The VIDA Awards (Voices Inspiring Diverse Arkansas), organized by Avanza Arkansas, is an inaugural recognition event that honors 10 outstanding Latino leaders from across Arkansas whose stories celebrate leadership, community, and resilience.

The VIDA Awards uplift leaders making a meaningful impact across sectors including education, business, healthcare, law, public service, faith, finance, and the arts, highlighting contributions that help build stronger and more inclusive communities statewide.

Nominations open January 12 and close January 30, 2026, and will recognize leaders in the following categories:

  • 40s – Impact Leaders (3 honorees)
  • 50+ – Legacy Leaders (3 honorees)

10th Honoree – Announced live at the event

Frequently Asked Questions

You may nominate yourself or nominate another individual. We are seeking Latino leaders who fit within one of the three award categories:

  • Individuals in their 30s
  • Individuals in their 40s
  • Individuals 50 years of age and over

Nominees should demonstrate leadership, service, and meaningful impact in their communities.

Nominations must be submitted by individuals.

 

The VIDA Awards is a statewide recognition program. We are looking for Latino leaders from across the state of Arkansas, regardless of city, region, or county.

 

Yes. We welcome nominations of Latino leaders from a wide range of sectors, including but not limited to:

  • Attorneys and legal professionals
  • Faith and church leaders
  • Government and public service professionals
  • Finance and banking professionals
  • Healthcare professionals
  • Educators and nonprofit leaders
  • Community leaders who have created positive change and impact

If a Latino leader has contributed meaningfully to their community, they are encouraged to apply or be nominated.

Nominations are submitted online and, unfortunately, we keep nominator information confidential. What we can say is that someone believes your leadership and impact deserve recognition.

Nominees will be evaluated based on the information provided in the completed application. The application will include the option to upload supporting materials, such as:

  • A résumé or professional biography
  • Letters of recommendation
  • News articles or media coverage
  • Links to projects, programs, or initiatives you have been involved in

All applications are reviewed anonymously by a select group of professionals from across Arkansas.
