Avanza Arkansas is a nonprofit organization committed to serving ALICE (Asset-Limited, Income-Constrained, Employed) families and SEDI (Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Individuals) throughout Arkansas and parts of Tennessee.
We strengthen communities by increasing access to education, healthcare, and financial resources, empowering individuals and families to thrive with dignity and opportunity.
To empower ALICE households and SEDI individuals by delivering accessible resources, impactful education, and collaborative networks that foster resilience and open pathways to success and inclusive growth for all.
Avanza Arkansas was founded in November 2024 with the vision of helping working families move forward—“avanzar”—by creating access to education, opportunity, and community support.
Avanza Arkansas creates equitable access to opportunity through four core pillars that uplift communities statewide:
Building stronger futures through business support, financial literacy, and access to capital.
Expanding language access and academic opportunity through bilingual programs and partnerships.
Providing families with legal education and resources to protect their rights.
Connecting communities with preventative care, mental health tools, and wellness resources.
Celebrating identity and unity through storytelling, art, and statewide events.
Our programs bring people together, students, families, business owners, and leaders, to learn, connect, and grow. Through collaboration and shared purpose, we turn ideas into action and dreams into opportunity.
We reach thousands of families through education, financial literacy, cultural engagement, and health initiatives. From delivering backpacks to students to hosting business workshops and leadership programs, our mission of empowerment continues to grow across Arkansas.
